DES (Department of Economic Security) Certified Child Care Home Providers:
• are professionally self-employed
• provide quality child care in their home
• provide professional care for up to 4 children at one time
• meet or exceed health and safety standards
• carry child care liability insurance
• receive childcare training annually
• provide age-appropriate learning activities for children
• are CPR/First Aide certified
• have DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card for themselves and other adults  living in their home
• all family members are current on vaccinations and TB testing
